Townhouse Enters Italy with 40-Salon Franchise Agreement

London-based premium nail salon brand Townhouse has entered a 40-unit franchise agreement with PRCNX Italia to launch its operations in Italy. The expansion begins with a flagship salon opening in Milan in the coming months, followed by a phased rollout across key Italian cities.

"Italy is a natural next step in Townhouse’s international growth," said Juanita Huber-Millet, founder of Townhouse. "We are building the brand through a select group of well-capitalized, operationally strong franchise partners capable of developing markets at scale, rather than simply opening individual locations. Ivan and the PRCNX team combine relevant sector experience, deep local market knowledge, and the ambition required to establish Townhouse as Italy’s leading premium nail salon brand."

Founded in London in 2018, Townhouse operates more than 45 locations across Europe and the U.S. The company recently expanded its service model into the luxury spa sector with an opening at the Champneys Tring resort in the U.K.

To support its global expansion, Townhouse works exclusively with multi-unit franchise operators. As international beauty businesses adapt their expansion strategies to local retail environments—much like Sephora's customized market entry approaches—Townhouse pairs its operational model and tech stack with regionally established partners.

The partnership links Townhouse’s brand platform and standardized customer experience with PRCNX’s market knowledge, capital resources, and track record in developing consumer businesses.

"We did not choose Townhouse simply to add another beauty brand to our portfolio," said Ivan Marandola, Chairman of PRCNX. "We chose it because Townhouse has built what the Italian nail market currently lacks: a trusted premium brand, a highly repeatable customer experience, and the technology and operating platform required to scale nationally."

Marandola noted that while nail care represents one of the highest-frequency service categories in the beauty industry, the Italian salon sector remains fragmented. Starting in Milan, PRCNX intends to establish a standardized premium salon network by combining Townhouse's operational infrastructure with PRCNX's experience across consumer health, wellness, and beauty.
