Beauty of Joseon Tops Lookfantastic Travel Rankings, Debuts Body SPF
Beauty of Joseon’s cult-favorite sunscreen leads Lookfantastic's summer travel rankings as the Korean brand expands into body sun care.
Beauty of Joseon’s Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotics SPF50+ has emerged as the most popular travel beauty product on Lookfantastic this summer, attracting more than 80,000 product page sessions over the past 90 days.
The strong performance bodes well for the Korean skincare brand as it builds on the success of its cult-favorite facial SPF with the launch of its first body sun care collection, marking its entry into the bodycare category. This milestone highlights the massive global momentum of K-beauty, mirroring how other indie beauty brands surpass $500 million on TikTok Shop by solving everyday consumer needs with targeted formulations.
The new range comprises two 150ml products: Hydra Shield Body Sun Lotion SPF50+, formulated with fermented brown rice and ceramides to provide broad-spectrum UV protection and long-lasting hydration, and Comfort Protection Mineral Body Sun Lotion SPF30, which combines fermented brown rice with panthenol to help soothe, nourish, and protect the skin.
The launch comes amid sustained demand for sun protection products, reflected in Lookfantastic's latest travel beauty rankings.
Beauty of Joseon's 50ml sunscreen topped the list with more than 80,000 sessions, while Estée Lauder’s Double Wear Longwear Matte Foundation SPF10 (30ml) and La Roche-Posay’s Anthelios UVMune 400 Invisible Fluid SPF50 (50ml) followed in second and third place respectively, each attracting more than 70,000 sessions.
Armani Luminous Silk Foundation ranked fourth with more than 60,000 sessions, ahead of Nars Natural Radiant Longwear Foundation and Kylie Cosmetics Skin Tint Blurring Elixir Foundation, which each exceeded 50,000.
The remainder of the top 10 featured La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Repairing Baume B5 SPF50, Kérastase Genesis Serum Anti-Chute Fortifiant, Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum Ginseng Retinal, and the 15ml travel size of Estée Lauder Double Wear.
The beauty retailer based its rankings on all-channel and device product page sessions, alongside add-to-basket data, across its travel-sized and mini product range over the past 90 days. Sessions measure product page traffic rather than completed purchases or unique customers.
More broadly, Lookfantastic said the findings highlight growing demand for travel-friendly beauty products as consumers adapt their routines for hand luggage restrictions and warmer weather.
The retailer also pointed to the rise of "skin streaming"—the practice of simplifying skincare routines by using fewer, more multifunctional products. This shift toward holistic, simplified skin health is also influencing retail layouts, explaining why Ulta Beauty is merchandising skincare in the wellness aisle alongside supplements and self-care products. According to data cited, Google searches for the term rose by 413% in the month leading up to July 21, 2026.
“We’re seeing beauty lovers become much savvier about what they pack for their holidays. It’s no longer about grabbing the smallest bottle on the shelf; it’s about choosing products that genuinely multitask, so a tinted SPF or a CC cream can replace three separate steps in your routine," said Jess Clarke, beauty expert at Lookfantastic.
Beyond the top 10, Lookfantastic said shoppers were increasingly browsing hydrating facial mists, travel-sized retinal products, and Sol de Janeiro's bodycare travel sets, while Kérastase was the only haircare brand to feature among the leading products.
