Essential Parfums Selects London's Soho for First Store Outside France

French niche fragrance brand Essential Parfums has secured a retail space on Beak Street in London’s Soho, marking the opening of its first standalone boutique outside of France. Property owner Shaftesbury Capital stated that the Beak Street signing reinforces Soho's position as a premier launchpad of choice for international luxury and premium beauty brands.

The 795-square-foot boutique will feature the brand's luxury fragrance lineup, created in collaboration with renowned perfumers including Calice Becker, Quentin Bisch, and Nathalie Lorson. Inspired by Parisian apartments and classic French boutiques, the minimalist retail environment is designed to keep the focus on scent while offering candles, hair and body mists, and hand creams at accessible price points.

Géraldine Archambault, co-founder and CEO of the eight-year-old house, described the London flagship as a key milestone for Essential Parfums' international expansion. Expanding into the UK market was a natural progression to share modern French perfumery with a fresh community of fragrance enthusiasts, she noted, adding that Soho offers high foot traffic and an engaged demographic looking for unique retail experiences.

William Oliver, director of retail leasing at Shaftesbury Capital, said securing another UK retail debut highlights the global status and ongoing appeal of Soho's retail portfolio. Located just around the corner from Carnaby Street, the new store joins a district centered on creativity, consumer discovery, and premium experiences.

The arrival of Essential Parfums reflects Soho's growing momentum as a premier beauty destination, coming on the heels of major retail developments in the West End including Sephora UK expanding its boutique footprint across high-street locations.
