Dior Opens Luxury Spa at Venice’s Historic Hotel Cipriani
Dior partners with Belmond to open a luxury spa at Venice's Hotel Cipriani, featuring exclusive treatments and a wellness boutique.
Dior has unveiled a new luxury spa at the historic Hotel Cipriani in Venice, marking the latest milestone in its ongoing collaboration with hospitality group Belmond. The opening follows a multi-phase renovation of the hotel overseen by Peter Marino Architect.
Venice holds a storied place in the history of the fashion house. Founder Christian Dior famously attended the legendary 1951 “Ball of the Century” hosted by Charles de Beistegui at the Palazzo Labia. Reflecting on the masquerade, Dior once recalled, "It was the most beautiful evening of my life, and one that I will never experience again. The deep Italian night made this nocturnal display eternal."
Today, the brand maintains deep ties to the Venetian community, having funded the restoration of the historic Porta Magna at the Venetian Arsenal and maintaining a regular presence at the Venice Art Biennale.
For this latest venture, architect Peter Marino designed the brand's first wellness-dedicated spa in the canal city.
The two-story sanctuary features five treatment rooms (including one double suite), a relaxation lounge, and an elegant boutique showcasing Dior perfumes, skincare, and makeup. The space also debuts the new Dior Haute Wellness collection. This focus on high-end sensory experiences aligns with broader industry trends, where heritage houses are doubling down on olfactory storytelling—much like how Jean Paul Gaultier is preparing to launch its first major women's fragrance in a decade.
“Inviting guests to continue their wellness routines at home in a holistic and integrative way, the collection focuses on three pillars: slow movement, featuring accessories for yoga and Pilates; mindfulness, with items dedicated to journaling, meditation, and breathwork; and sleep, which includes weighted blankets, sleep masks, and silk pillowcases,” Dior said in a statement.
The spa's treatment menu features three exclusive signature experiences: the Mascarade facial protocol; the Grand Bal protocol, which offers a comprehensive hair, face, makeup, and nail service; and the Théâtre Corporel, a synchronized four-handed body treatment.
Additionally, guests can book two holistic experiences developed alongside global wellness experts. The "Self Alignment Cruise" was created in partnership with nutritionist and functional medicine practitioner Rose Ferguson, while the multisensory "Grounding Slow Movement Therapy" was designed by Pilates instructor Bryony Deery.
This latest opening underscores Dior’s commitment to luxury brands expanding into immersive wellness experiences, blending high fashion with holistic care.
