Covent Garden will bring back its annual beauty festival from September 4 to 13, 2026, introducing a new "Beyond Beauty" identity alongside a neighborhood-wide program spanning retail, services, and live experiences.

For global beauty brands and retail strategists, London's high-traffic commercial districts continue to serve as essential proving grounds for experiential brick-and-mortar concepts, interactive pop-ups, and immersive consumer activations.

The 10-day festival will feature more than 80 beauty and wellness brands across the Piazza, Seven Dials, and Covent Garden's surrounding streets, bringing together global flagship locations and independent boutiques alike.

Chanel, Charlotte Tilbury, Dolce&Gabbana, Elemis, Glossier, Guerlain, Jo Malone London, Miller Harris, NARS, Penhaligon's, Space NK, and Tom Ford are among the brands confirmed to participate.

Pop-ups, product launches, exclusive promotions, and expert-led masterclasses will cover skincare, fragrance, makeup, and wellness. While the full schedule has yet to be revealed, featured themes will cover seasonal beauty essentials, future industry favorites, fitness-focused wellbeing, and fragrance fundamentals.

Space NK will serve as Beyond Beauty's primary experiential partner for the first time, transforming the Covent Garden Piazza into an interactive destination for shoppers.

The partnership reinforces the retailer's deep roots in the district. Space NK launched its very first store in Covent Garden back in 1991, and its UK flagship store currently operates on nearby Neal Street.

For Covent Garden, the festival plays a strategic role in encouraging visitors to explore the area's rich cosmetics offering alongside its broader retail and dining landscape.

"Beauty is one of the defining categories at Covent Garden, and Beyond Beauty reflects the strength of that offer," said Catherine Riccomini, Director of Marketing and Communications at property owner Shaftesbury Capital.

"Bringing together over 80 brands across the neighborhood allows us to showcase the depth of our retail mix while driving footfall, dwell time, and cross-category spend across the whole estate during a key trading period."

The event builds on the success of Big Beauty, which launched in September 2025 by combining in-store activations with outdoor installations and beauty services across the estate.

Last year's lineup featured the Elemis Skin Spa Airstream, a dedicated Creed fragrance cart, a Liberty Beauty Advent Calendar pop-up, and a planted Fragrance Garden beneath the Market Building arches. Participating stores also hosted makeup appointments, fragrance consultations, personalized engraving services, and fitness sessions.

The 2026 rebrand expands on that format, shifting the core focus beyond product displays to highlight the creators, ideas, experiences, and innovations shaping the beauty industry today.

Its return also highlights ongoing commercial investment in Covent Garden's beauty retail landscape.

Kiehl's has opened an expanded storefront on Monmouth Street, while Parfums de Marly has enlarged its James Street boutique. MATIERE PREMIERE opened its first UK retail unit on King Street, and INITIO Parfums Privés recently unveiled its first standalone boutique inside the Market Building. The district's growth mirrors broader retail investments across Shaftesbury Capital's portfolio, where the landlord has also secured niche international debuts such as Essential Parfums in nearby Soho.
