Top 100 Chinese Beauty Brands Honored at iPDF Packaging Exhibition

Driven by a commitment to long-term growth, Chinese beauty brands are expanding their global footprint through scientific innovation and cultural identity. On May 10, marking the 10th annual China Brand Day, trade publication China Cosmetics and beauty big data agency Users Say jointly released the "2025 Top 100 Chinese Beauty Brands" list. The top 100 brands gathered to celebrate this milestone during the 2026 iPDF International Future Packaging Exhibition in Guangzhou, an event where global buyers and innovative packaging solutions took center stage. The exhibition also highlighted advances in cosmetics packaging solutions.

Why It Matters For global beauty executives, China's domestic brands are no longer just "budget alternatives" to Western giants. Backed by massive R&D investments and sophisticated localized marketing, these brands are capturing the lion's share of a market that has officially become the world's largest, redefining global beauty trends and supply chain standards.

In 2025, the Chinese beauty industry transitioned from a pure traffic-and-channel-driven growth model to a battle of comprehensive capabilities. Sustainable brand growth now relies on a holistic mix of sales conversion, content strategy, consumer engagement, and brand equity rather than single viral products. The 2025 list evaluates brands across four core dimensions—market sales, social media buzz, user interaction, and brand reputation—complemented by professional industry insights to provide a comprehensive picture of commercial success and long-term consumer trust.

Market data underscores the collective rise of Chinese domestic brands. According to the China Association of Fragrance Flavor and Cosmetic Industries (CAFFCI), China's total beauty retail sales across all channels surpassed 1.1 trillion RMB (approximately $151 billion USD) for the first time in 2025, solidifying its position as the world's largest cosmetics consumer market. Consumers are increasingly gravitating toward science-backed formulations. "Dermatological skincare" and "scientific skincare" have become the dominant market drivers, proving that domestic brands are winning on technological merit and cultural resonance rather than just low prices.

Lin Kaici, founder of Users Say, noted during the ceremony that the Top 100 brands represent not only strong commercial performance in 2025 but also continuous evolution in product innovation, channel operations, and consumer relationship management. The list serves as an objective benchmark for market research, corporate strategy, and consumer trends.

As China Brand Day enters its second decade, this ranking serves as both a milestone and a call to action. With a focus on scientific R&D and unique cultural storytelling, Chinese beauty brands are poised to play an increasingly influential role on the global stage.
