Byredo Unveils 'Future Memories' Fragrance With Selfridges Pop-Up
Byredo has launched an immersive pop-up at Selfridges London for its new fragrance, Future Memories, following retail expansion under parent company Puig.
Byredo has partnered with London luxury department store Selfridges to launch its latest fragrance, Future Memories, through an immersive retail pop-up running through August 26.
Visitors to the space can explore and sample Byredo’s fragrance lineup, centered on Future Memories—an ambery green musky scent crafted around a modern, textured vanilla designed to balance freshness and warmth. Similar department store activations continue to drive prestige scent discovery across London, mirroring Diptyque's recent retail counter expansion at Harrods.
The activation features live illustration sessions titled "Future Self Portraits" by artist Lena Yokoyama on select August dates, alongside exclusive gifts with purchase and a dedicated photo installation. Much like when Dior opened an immersive fragrance pop-up to highlight key scent franchises, Byredo is leveraging temporary physical touchpoints to deepen consumer engagement during major product launches.
Founded in Stockholm in 2006 by Ben Gorham, Byredo translates personal memories and emotions into products spanning fine fragrance, color cosmetics, home scents, and leather goods across more than 40 countries.
Gorham stepped down from the brand at the end of June 2025 following Byredo's acquisition by Spanish luxury fashion and beauty group Puig.
The Selfridges retail activation follows Byredo's relocation of its London flagship to Covent Garden in late 2025, where a two-story space houses the brand's full range of fragrance, beauty, and design collections.
